Ben Özgür. Bir üniversitede İngilizce öğretim görevlisi olarak çalışmaktayım. Pandemi ile birlikte evin bir odasını home-ofis olarak düzenledim ve tüm ders ve toplantılara burada katıldım. Bu kadar çok toplantı arasında ihtiyaç duyduğum en önemli donanım iyi bir kameraydı. Bunun için araştırma yaparken HUE HD Pro kameraya denk geldim ve denemek istedim. Gerek fiziksel gerek donanım olarak diğer tüm kameralardan öne çıkan bu harika kameraya bayıldım ve almayı düşünenler için bir inceleme yazmak istedim.

Kutu açılımı

Ürün gayet sağlam ve kompakt bir kutu ile geliyor. Kutunun içinde kamera gövdesini ve yuvasını saran bir koruyucu bulunuyor. Bu şekilde taşıma esnasında kaynaklanabilecek darbelere karşı önlem alınmış.

Ürün kamera gövdesi, yuvası ve kablo olmak üzere üç parçadan oluşuyor. Kamera gövdesi esnek boynu sayesinde hem yükseklik hem açı olarak istediğiniz konumda ayarlanabiliyor. USB girişi sayesinde çok kolay bir şekilde gövdeyi yuvaya takabiliyorsunuz. Tak çalıştır özelliği ile hiçbir kurulum istemeden doğrudan kullanmaya başlıyorsunuz. Kamera yuvasını bilgisayara bir USB kablo aracılığıyla bağlıyorsunuz. Kablo da ayrıca kutu içinde çıkıyor. Kameranın esnek boyuna sahip olması çok büyük avantaj. Yükseklik ve açıyı istediğiniz şekilde ayarlama imkânı sunuyor. Boynu tam dik konuma getirdiğinizde zeminden yüksekliği 45cm oluyor. Yuva çok kaliteli malzemeden üretilmiş.

Elinize aldığınızda malzeme kalitesini hissedebiliyorsunuz. Yuvanın altına kaymayı önlemek için özel bir madde kaplanmış. Ayrıca tasarım olarak da çok şık bir tasarıma sahip. Kırmızı, siyah, yeşil ve mavi olmak üzere 4 farklı seçenek var. Kamera başlığının tasarımı da çok güzel yapılmış. Çalışma masasında bir aksesuar gibi görünüyor. Başlıkta 4 adet LED ışık, odaklama tekerleği ve mikrofon bulunuyor. LED ışıkları başlığın arkasındaki ışık simgesine dokunarak açıp kapatabiliyorsunuz. Dokunma hassasiyeti çok güzel ayarlanmış. Ufacık bir dokunuş açma ve kapatmaya yetiyor.

Sistem Gereksinimleri

Ürünün en güzel özelliği tak&çalıştır olması. Hiçbir sürücü yüklemeden doğrudan USB portuna takarak kullanmaya başlayabiliyorsunuz. Windows ve macOS işletim sistemlerinde kullanılabiliyor. Windows’un tüm sürümleri ile uyumlu olarak çalışıyor. Ben denemedim ama üzerinde Linux ve Chrome OS işletim sistemleri ile de uyumlu olduğu yazıyor. Herhangi bir güç kaynağına gerek kalmadan enerjiyi doğrudan USB’den alıyor. Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meets, Skype gibi video konferans uygulamaları ile sorunsuz çalışıyor. Kamera, HUE Intuition adında bir yazılım ile birlikte geliyor. Normalde yazılım ücretli ancak kamerayı aldığınızda HUE Intuition aktivasyon kodu Kullanma Klavuzunun içinde geliyor. Yazılım, Windows ve macOS işletim sistemleri ile uyumlu olarak çalışıyor.

Kullanım

Şu ana kadar birçok web kamerası satın aldım ama HUE HD Pro aldıklarım arasına açık ara en iyi kamera. En sevdiğim özelliklerden birisi esnek boyun oldu. Diğer kameraları doğru açıda tutmak için zorlanıyordum. Kamera yüksekliğini ayarlamak için altına birçok eşya koymam gerekiyordu. HUE HD Pro’da böyle bir sorun yok. İstediğiniz yükseklik ve açıda ayarlanabiliyor. Mesela ben kıvrımlı bir şekilde kullanıyorum ve çalışma masasının üzerinde de çok şık duruyor.

HUE HD Pro size birçok farklı kullanım imkânı sunuyor. Video ve fotoğraf kaydı yapmanın yanı sıra sadece bu kameraya özgü özellikleri ile bir adım öne çıkıyor. Dahili mikrofonu sayesinde sesli video kaydı yapabiliyorsunuz. İnanılmaz bir geniş açıya sahip. Daha önce geniş açılı olarak aldığım bir web kamerası ile karşılaştırdım ve HUE HD Pro neredeyse 3 kat daha geniş açı sunuyor. Tarama modunda kamerayı belge tarama için kullanabiliyorsunuz. Esnek boynu sayesinde kamera açısını bir kere ayarladıktan sonra çok hızlı bir şekilde belgelerinizi tarayabiliyorsunuz. HUE HD Pro’nun en öne çıkan özelliği doküman kamerası olarak kullanımı. Diyelim ki canlı ders ya da bir ders kaydı esnasında kitaptan öğrencilerinize bir sayfa göstererek konuyu anlatmak istiyorsunuz. Esnek boynu sayesinde kitabın göstermek istediğiniz sayfasını kadraja alıyorsunuz ve manuel odaklama ile istediğiniz kadar yakınlaştırabiliyorsunuz. HUE HD Pro en yakın konumdan bile harika bir netlik sunuyor.

HUE Intuition yazılım ile canlı kamera görüntüsü üzerinden istediğiniz yeri çizerek ya da yazı yazarak ders anlatabiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca, yazılımdaki resim yakalama özelliği ile sizin belirlediğiniz aralıklarda ya da manuel olarak arka arkaya resim yakalayabiliyorsunuz. Resim yakalama ile ilgili bir diğer güzel özellik de harekete duyarlı resim yakalama. Video akışındaki her hareketi otomatik olarak resim formatında kaydediyor. Bu özellik kameranın bir güvenlik kamerası olarak da kullanılmasına imkân tanıyor. Kamerayı yerleştirdiğiniz ortamda herhangi bir hareket yoksa kaydetmiyor ama bir hareket algıladığında hemen resim olarak kaydediyor. Tercihinize göre kaydedilen resimleri FTP dosyasına kaydediyor ve evden uzak olsanız dahi anlık olarak klasöre kaydedilen resimleri görebiliyorsunuz.

HUE HD Pro’nun en öne çıkan özelliklerden birisi de stop-motion videolar yapmaya elverişli olması. HUE Animation yazılım ile çok kolay bir şekilde stop-motion videolar hazırlayabiliyorsunuz. Yazılm kamera ile birlikte gelmiyor ancak HUE Shop’dan satın alabiliyorsunuz. Ayrıca, yazılım adım adım nasıl stop-motion animasyonlar oluşturacağınızı gösteren bir animasyon kitabı (e-book) ile birlikte geliyor.

Kullanım alanları

Toplantı: Birçok web konferans yazılımları ile uyumlu olan HUE HD Pro’yu toplantılarınızda web kamerası olarak kullanabilirsiniz. Entegre mikrofonu sayesinde sesli ve görüntülü video akışı sağlıyor. Çok geniş açıya sahip olması grup toplantıları için büyük avantaj. Aynı ortamda bulunduğunuz kalabalık bir ekiple toplantıya katılmak isterseniz çok yakından dahi olsa geniş açısı sayesinde kimse dışarda kalmıyor. Ayrıca, 45cm’ye kadar çıkan yüksekliği ve esnek boynu sayesinde web kameranızı yükseltmek için farklı aparatlar kullanmak zorunda kalmıyorsunuz.

Eğitim: HUE HD Pro kamerayı tüm eğitim kademelerinde kullanabilirsiniz. Canlı ders esnasında kamerayı istediğiniz gibi yönlendirerek ya da eğitim materyallerinin istediğiniz bir bölgesine odaklayarak ders anlatımını daha etkili hale getirebilirsiniz. Manuel odaklama sayesinde çok yakından bile olsa net bir görüntü sunabilirsiniz.

Doküman Kamerası: HUE HD Pro kamerası HUE Intiution yazılım ile birlikte kullanıldığında harika bir doküman kamerasına dönüşüyor. Odakladığınız bir doküman üzerinde istediğiniz şekilde not alabilir, şekiller kullanabilir ve yazı ekleyebilirsiniz. Bu sayede bir doküman üzerinde eğitim veya toplantı amaçlı çalışabilirsiniz.

Güvenlik: HUE Intiution yazılımın sunduğu özellik sayesinde HUE HD Pro kamerayı bir güvenlik kamerası olrarak da kullanabilirsiniz. Geniş açısı sayesinde konumlandırdığınız odayı ya da bölgeyi olabilecek en geniş açı ile görüntüleyip harekete duyarlı resim yakalama özelliği ile ortamdaki tüm hareketlerin ekran görüntüsünü alabilirsiniz. FTP yükleme özelliği sayesinde evde olmasanız da kaydedilen görüntülere anlık olarak erişebilirsiniz.

Sonuç

HUE HD Pro kamera esnek boyun, ultra geniş açı ve şık dizayn gibi özellikleri ile mevcut kameralardan bir adım öne çıkıyor. HUE Intuition yazılımının sunduğu özelliklerle kamera daha fonksiyonel şekilde kullanılıyor. Şu ana kadar denediğim web kameraları arasında en iyisi olduğunu söyleyebilirim. Özellikle hem eğitim hem toplantı amaçlı kullanacaklar için harika bir seçenek olduğunu düşünüyorum.

HUE HD PRO Document Camera Review

I am Özgür. I am working as an English lecturer at a university in Turkey. After the outbreak of the pandemic, I organized one of my rooms as a home-office and attended all lectures and meetings there. Among so many meetings, the most important piece of equipment I needed was a good camera. While researching for this, I came across the HUE HD Pro camera and wanted to try it. I loved this wonderful camera, which stands out from all other cameras both physically and specifications and wanted to write a review for those who are considering buying it.

Unboxing

The product comes in a very sturdy and compact box. Inside the box is a protector that wraps around the camera body and base. In this way, precautions are taken against impacts that may arise during transportation. The product consists of three parts, the camera body, the base and the cable. Thanks to its flexible neck, the camera body can be adjusted in any position in terms of height and angle. You can easily plug the camera body into the base from the USB port. With its Plug & Play feature, you start using it directly without any installation. You connect the camera dock to the computer via a USB cable. The cable also comes in the box. The flexibility of the camera is a huge advantage. It offers the possibility to adjust the height and angle as you wish. When you bring the neck to the full upright position, its height from the ground becomes 45cm. The base is made of very high-quality material.

You can feel the quality of the material when you hold it in your hand. A special material is coated under the base to prevent it from slipping. It also has a very stylish design. There are 4 different options: red, black, green and blue. The design of the camera head is also very well done. It looks like an accessory on the desk. The headboard has 4 LED lights, a focusing wheel and a microphone. You can turn the LED lights on and off by touching the light icon on the back of the head. Touch sensitivity is finely tuned. A small touch is all it takes to turn it on and off.

System requirements

One of the best features of the product is that it is plug & play. You can start using it by plugging it directly into the USB port without installing any drivers. It can be used on Windows and macOS operating systems. It works with all versions of Windows. I haven’t tried it, but the manual says it’s compatible with Linux and Chrome OS operating systems. It takes energy directly from USB without the need for any power source. It works seamlessly with video conferencing applications such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Skype. The camera comes with software called HUE Intuition. Normally, the software is not free, but when you buy the camera, a free HUE Intuition activation code comes in the User Manual. The software is compatible with Windows and macOS operating systems.

Usage

I’ve bought many webcams so far, but the HUE HD Pro is by far the best camera I’ve bought. One of my favorite features was the flexible neck. I was having a hard time keeping the other cameras at the right angle. I had to put a lot of stuff under it to adjust the camera height. There is no such problem in HUE HD Pro. It can be adjusted to the height and angle you want. For example, I use it in a curved way, and it looks very stylish on the desktop.

HUE HD Pro offers you many different usage possibilities. In addition to recording videos and taking photos, it stands out with its features unique to this camera. Thanks to the built-in microphone, you can record video with sound. It has an incredible wide angle. I compared it to a wide-angle webcam I bought before, and the HUE HD Pro offers almost 3x wider angle. You can use the camera for document scanning in scan mode. Thanks to its flexible neck, once you have adjusted the camera angle, you can scan your documents very quickly. The most prominent feature of the HUE HD Pro is its use as a document camera. Let’s say you want to explain the subject by showing a page from the book to your students during a live lesson or a lesson recording. With its flexible neck, you can frame the page of the book you want to show and you can zoom in as much as you want with manual focus. HUE HD Pro offers great clarity even from the closest position.

With the HUE Intuition software, you can teach by drawing or writing anywhere you want over the live camera image. In addition, with the image capture feature in the software, you can capture images one after the other at intervals you specify or manually. Another nice feature about image capture is motion-sensitive image capture. It automatically records every movement in the video stream in picture format. This feature also allows the camera to be used as a security camera. If there is no movement in the environment where you place the camera, it does not save, but when it detects a movement, it immediately saves it as a picture. It saves the pictures to the FTP file according to your preference and instantly saves them even if you are away from home.

One of the most prominent features of HUE HD Pro is that it is suitable for making stop motion videos. You can create stop-motion videos very easily with HUE Animation software which is not included but can be purchased from the HUE shop. Also when you download the software you are provided with an animation book (e-book) that shows you how to create stop-motion animations step-by-step.

Usage areas

Meeting: You can use HUE HD Pro, which is compatible with most web conferencing software, as a webcam in your meetings. Thanks to its integrated microphone, it provides audio and video streaming. Having a very wide angle is a great advantage for group meetings. If you want to attend a meeting with a crowded team in the same environment, even if it is very close, no one is left out thanks to its wide angle. In addition, thanks to its height of up to 45cm and its flexible neck, you do not have to use different apparatus to raise your webcam.

Education: You can use the HUE HD Pro camera at all levels of education. During a live lesson, you can make the lecture more effective by directing the camera as you wish or focusing on a desired area of ​​the education materials. Thanks to manual focus, you can present a clear image even at very close range.

Document Camera: The HUE HD Pro camera turns into a great document camera when used with HUE Intuition software. You can take notes, add shapes and text to a document you focus on. In this way, you can work on a document for educational or meeting purposes.

Security: Thanks to the feature provided by the HUE Intuition software, you can also use the HUE HD Pro camera as a security camera. With its wide angle, you can view the room or region you positioned with the widest possible angle and take a screenshot of all the movements in the environment with the motion-sensitive picture capture feature. FTP upload feature allows you to instantly access the recorded images even if you are not at home.

Conclusion
The HUE HD Pro camera stands out from existing cameras with its features such as flexible neck, ultra-wide angle and stylish design. The camera is used more functionally with the features offered by the HUE Intuition software. I can say that it is the best among the webcams I have tried so far. I think it is a great option, especially for those who will use it for both educational and meeting purposes.
