Once you give SAM Animation to students, they will pick up on how to animate very quickly. It all boils down to repeating 2 steps — Move Your Prop and Take A Picture. When you are done, press Play and you have created your first animation!

I have taught students and teachers how to use SAM for seven years. Rarely do I have to spend more than 10 minutes of instruction on telling them ‘how to animate’. I demonstrate the process once and then they are off and animating.

While there are many other features of the software to fine tune, edit, and add to your animation, if you remember that the basics are “Move Prop and Take Picture”, you’ll realize that an animation project can be as quick as a 5-10 minutes in length.
