Using everyday objects in animations
B.S.M.E. – Bachelor of Science in Marshmallow Engineering
I remember when I was an incoming college freshman and among all the other challenges we face at that time in our lives I had the daunting task of deciding exactly what type of engineer I wanted to be! I mean, I had already gotten in to engineering school, wasn’t there just an “engineering” degree?
To my dismay, there wasn’t. So, that’s where Google stepped in … “What does an electrical engineer do?” … I searched… “How much chemistry do you have to know as a chemical engineer?” … “What’s the difference between a civil and mechanical engineer?”
Several hours, days, months, conversations later, I landed on Mechanical Engineer. And, I’ve never looked back, and if I had to do it again I’d still struggle through Heat Transfer. But, if I would have had this clever stop-motion animation below visualizing the various types of engineers within minutes…. well, I still would have landed on Mechanical Engineer. It just would have taken a lot less time in decision making. I mean, who wouldn’t want to build a giant contraption to wipe out Zombies?!
