Summer Crafts for Kids, and the Kid in all of us
We’re proud to announce that HUE Animation Studio is sponsoring a very special exhibition at Dorset County Museum!
ANIMATE! Two Centuries Of Animation From Pencil To Pixel
13 June – 19 October 2013
The museum has gathered some of the most influential names in the animation world, from Aardman Animations to the British Film Institute. Here at HUE Animation we’re delighted to be able to participate in this exciting celebration alongside some of our favourite animators.
The exhibition takes visitors all the way from the early days of traditional hand-drawn animation to the present, where technology is being used in brand new ways to make animation more and more ambitious every day. Budding animators can learn how the very first movies were made and discover how to try out the early techniques for themselves at home. You can even try making your own animation right at the museum where they’ll be demonstrating our HUE Animation Studio kits.
A range of family activities are on offer to make your visit more memorable; there’s an exciting talk by Aardman’s Loyd Price and an Aardman model-making workshop on 1st August – that’s tomorrow!
You can read more about the exhibition here. Or if you’ve been to Dorset County Museum already, why not leave a comment to tell us what your visit was like?
