Based on the success of the first annual Scinemation competition at the Singapore Science Center in November 2011, Singapore has announced the dates and topic of this year’s second annual event!

The competition will be held at the Science Center in Singapore again Nov. 6^th – 9^th, 2012 and the topic is “Marvelous Machines.”

Entries outside of Singapore are welcome this year, to be submitted online, and there will divisions by age group again.  The Marvelous Machines topic will require students to come up with any machine – washing machine, car, sewing machine – and show, through animation, how it works.  We had nearly 500 students from 30 schools across Singapore participate last year, so we are looking forward to seeing this year’s turnout!

iCreate is a partnering sponsor again, and we will release more details of the event (judging criteria, etc) later this spring.
