Free sound effects for your animation projects

Although HUE Animation lets you record your own sound effects, sometimes you’ll want to look online to find the perfect accompaniment for your movie, especially for sounds it’s tricky to make yourself. We’ve prepared a list of websites which offer sound files which you can use in your projects. The best part is that they’re all completely free to use – because who doesn’t like free stuff, right?

The first website on our list today is freesfx. It requires registration but you can then download the sound effects and music for free. There’s a good selection of audio tracks organized under various categories and the website is very easy to navigate.

Flashkit and AudioMicro are other websites with free sound effects if you can’t find what you’re looking for on freesfx.

Then you have websites dedicated to a certain theme such as this one, which collects spooky Halloween music.

You can also search the web for the right sound effect with FindSounds. Simply type in what kind of sound you are looking for and their search tool will do the rest.
