Teaching Art with HUE Animation Studio in Digital Media Class
Venez nous rendre visite à notre stand
“Thankfully the folks at HUE have a heart for librarians…”
We sure do! These words come from Dana Lester, middle school teacher at Walter Hill School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Dana is also a Core Coach (training teachers on the CCSS) and has been a Library Media Specialist for the past three years. Named “Teacher of the Year” at Walter Hill in 2013, Dana advocated Whole Brain Learning strategies. She engages her students in hands-on, inquiry-based learning–just the type of learning HUE products support.
Dana has a fantastic blog called Common to the Core, and recently she posted on her classroom’s experiences with using HUE. Check out her full post here.
What Dana loves about the HUE HD Pro Document Camera:
- Its compact size!
- It projects images such as illustrations from books, and helps teach games (see the post!)
- It takes pictures.
- It records videos.
- It can be taken off its base and plugged straight into the laptop!
What Dana loves about HUE Animation Studio:
- Its simplicity!
- Its ease of use!
- Its editing features.
- Its ability to add text and sound to your video.
Dana suggests some uses for HUE Animation in the classroom, including math, science, and social studies. HUE would like to thank Dana and her students for showcasing how HUE can help teach STEM in the classroom!
