HUE HD Pro Document Camera and HUE Animation Studio: Teaching STEM in the Classroom
Meet Theresa McGee, the art teacher that everyone should have! For many years Theresa taught art to students in Kindergarten through fifth grades, and she now teaches 6th through 8th grade students in Hinsdale, Illinois. Theresa tells us that she “loves to integrate technology into the learning process while still creating with traditional art media.” And wait until you see what her students have created!
The following video was made by Theresa’s students. In her Digital Media class, she let her students choose a group project at the end of the year. Stop motion animation, using HUE Animation Studio, was one of the many digital communication projects her students chose. Theresa tells us, “I did use the PES stop motion examples to inspire them and they decided to do a play on the PES Western Spaghetti animation and use art materials to make their own ‘Art Spaghetti‘. ”
Theresa has an awesome blog called The Teaching Palette, where teachers “constantly work on perfecting the art of education”. She’s a self-described “advocate for art education” and shares teaching ideas on her site. Check it out!
