HUE Animation Studio: The perfect Christmas gift for kids
From the blogosphere: German website Testdevil takes a look at HUE
In education we often sling buzz words around — STEM, STEAM, 21st century skills, inquiry-based, blended-learning — the list goes on. This trend continues … tossing out words that we read or hear among various fields, but often times we’ve never actually sat down to *really* understand what we’re talking about, and this rings especially true in the realm of sustainable energy.
But who really has time to thoroughly inform ourselves of the ins and outs of every topic, and also really grasp it just through reading facts? That’s why we have to start early — with kids! — and integrate hands-on (ahem – learning by doing) and story to such very important buzz-wordy topics like clean energy.
KidWind is an education company based in Minnesota that has been around for years growing awareness of wind and other clean energy sources in classrooms across the country and around the world. Now, they are taking their fabulous hands-on kits validated by educators and launching into the retail space, with a fun spin of comic book characters.
Their Kickstarter campaign to increase awareness on a broad level is well worth the couple of dollars in support and we encourage you to share and help their mission grow!
