Conseils pratiques partie 9 : Mettre en place la scène – l’éclairage
HUE partners up with Teach Design
Do you like watching music videos? We’ve seen quite a few famous videos which use stop motion to stand out from the crowd. First up, Mykonos by the Fleet Foxes dabbles in some experimental 2D stop motion animation with some very pretty results.
Or how about an old favourite, some stop motion LEGO? That’s what The White Stripes chose to use in the official music video for Fell in Love with a Girl.
Prefer claymation? No problem, Grizzly Bear have you covered with Ready, Able.
We’re also fans of animating people using time lapse photography and a technique called pixilation. Oren Lavie takes it a step further in Her Morning Elegance, with an amazingly creative stop motion film set in a bed!
Last but not least, here’s the first music video which will come to mind for older fans of stop motion. Peter Gabriel’s Sledgehammer really got people talking when it came out thanks to its surreal approach, completely unlike most other videos at the time.
Please share your favourite stop motion music videos in the comments section if we’ve missed the best ones, or if you like what you see, why not make your own? You can make it even better by singing (or humming) the song over the top for something truly unique!
