101 ways to use HUE: Being creative
Many of our customers use their HUE HD or HUE HD Pro camera as a visualiser to project text onto a whiteboard, or together with the HUE Animation software to create stop motion films. However, there are many more uses for taking your HUE further than that. The possibilities are (almost) endless!
A few examples:
Use your HUE to read QR codes. Coupled with third party software or websites designed to read QR codes, the HUE camera can be connected to a computer to live stream and scan codes. There are several QR code web applications out there, but we’ve found this one to be quite simple. It also works well with the HUE camera.
One fan e-mailed us to describe how they use the HUE camera as a scanner. “We use the cameras at our players club locations. We have driving license scanners to collect information in our casino management systems, but not all of the licenses scan correctly. If they don’t, then we also have the USB cameras interfaced to the casino management system. So we can take a snapshot of the patron and have the photo in our system.”
You can also use your HUE device as a security camera. Simply set it up to take pictures on movement or automatically every few seconds, using our HUE Intuition software.
