Today we’d like to draw attention to a slightly older article we came across from Norwegian pedagogy specialists itslearning. They’ve posted about how they use video from webcams and visualisers to open up new teaching techniques which would never have been possible in the past.
What makes the itslearning blog post especially interesting is that they’ve included some ideas for using a streaming camera like HUE in everyday lessons. These suggestions were made by real teachers who understand the challenges of keeping their classes engaged. We liked that they weren’t only thinking of activities that students could perform with the cameras, but also ways to involve them in other aspects of school life to improve the experience for absentees or help with training.
The ideas that teachers come up with for using new technologies never cease to amaze us. Have you found that a classroom camera has transformed some aspect of teaching in an unexpected way? Please let us know and share your story!
