Learn the 12 Principles of Animation with HUE
HUE HD Pro earns 4 stars in the 2020 Teach Secondary Awards
The HUE HD camera is a brilliant tool for teachers. I have used it in my class to share kids’ work or to model strategies, on paper or with small objects. It’s also great for modelling handwriting. I have made animation movies with my class and the HUE Animation software is great, especially the onion peel tool which allows you to see the last picture taken in transparency.
Is has been a great addition to my class teaching but it became an indispensable one when I had to teach my 5-year-old pupils online during lockdown. I would use my computer camera to talk to them but then move to the HUE HD camera to show them the work on my desk which often involved manipulating objects for counting and problem solving and modelling writing. I also made little animation movies to illustrate some of their learning.
Back in class it was also great for reading a picture book with children sitting quite far.
The camera is also getting a lot of use at home as my 7-year-old daughter loves to borrow it to make Barbie Animation movies. Once the camera and the computer are set up, she is able to take the pictures and use the basic tools of the software all on her own.
At the eve of a new school year my camera is all set up and raring to go.
