Teachers Pay Teachers (aka TpT) was founded in 2006 by Paul Edelman, a New York City public school teacher, to provide a platform for teachers to trade lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations and smartboard activities. Since then, TpT has grown to be the “World’s most popular online marketplace for original educational resources with more than five million resources available for use today” with a community of over 7 million teachers using TpT last year.

Despite the name of the site, you don’t have to pay for everything you download from TpT. 

Regular readers of our blog will no doubt be aware of the growing number of free animation activity and video conferencing guides we have available on the HUE website resources page. 

What you might not know is that we also have an additional selection of STEM and STEAM activity sheets available to download from the official Teachers Pay Teachers HUE store which are, currently, all free of charge.

HUE’s TpT resources are perfect for school makerspaces, summer camps, projects, classroom teaching and homeschooling. For remote learners, most of the activities are also compatible with TpT’s interactive ‘Easel‘ feature.

HUE Activity Guide #1: Global Warming

The Global Warming Activity Guide aims to help teachers set up and manage a stop motion animation project about global warming and climate change. The guides have been designed to target students in grades 3-7.

The free downloadable kit includes everything you need to get started in any classroom or after-school club, including: optional activities, resources, cut-and-color templates, a storyboard and an example video.

Global warming is a key topic in schools around the world and media focus will be on the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in November. This activity guide aims to explain the key issues in a way that children can understand and, in turn, communicate them to others.
