HUE Intuition: software features & usage
As a junior high teacher in a small school, I teach many different subjects. I use my HUE HD camera very regularly in my classes for different purposes. I am an art teacher and my camera has proven its value over and over again in class. I use it almost daily to illustrate step by step instructions to my students. I project the video feed onto my classroom board which allows students to see close up what each step of their art project is about. Students love to be able to follow along and see how my work progresses.
As an English teacher, we often do full class writing prompts. I give the students something to write about and time to write in a notebook. As they write, I use my camera to write alongside them. It is important for them to see how I work with the material spontaneously and can provide them ideas for where to go with their writing. I can also use it to show other students’ work and show how to edit and revise a piece of writing. It allows us to write the old fashioned way with pen and paper but still be able to project it to the class.
Having a flexible and versatile camera has been invaluable this past year as we have dealt with transitions to at home learning due to Covid-19. I appreciate my camera everyday.
