Animation Therapy Event Sept 19th 2012: win HUE Animation Studio
With so much technology in the classroom — whether you specifically requested it or not — it’d be really nice to be able to use it for more than one purpose. That’s why we’re super-psyched about announcing our partnership with Ken-a-Vision, an OEM of document cameras and microscopes based in Kansas City that we got to know well during our Kauffman Foundation incubator in 2011. Their document cameras are solid and more affordable that many of the other common brands out there, and the best part (we think) is that SAM Animation comes embedded in their software! Yep, you can read documents, do timelapse, and now challenge your students in creating their own stop-motion animations!
We were interested in partnering with Ken-a-Vision particularly because they have similar beliefs as we do around providing quality, authentic products for the classroom. They take pride and effort around supporting teachers and classrooms using their products. We’re looking forward to getting feedback from teachers starting to use SAM Animation in conjunction with their doc-cameras this school year, as it’s a nice way of turning technology that is most commonly an instructional tool into now a learning tool!
