“We received the lime green HUE tablet stand in its box. The item was well packaged and has an appealing design with clear, colourful photos of the product printed on the box. The box is sturdy and well designed so can house the product during any periods of time where it’s not used.

My first impressions on taking it out of the box is that it is well made and sturdy. It’s clearly been designed to take quite a bit of handling by kids. It was a little stiff to bend but I expect this probably softens with use.

The table clamp is easy to use and my 13 year old with special needs had no problem mounting it to the table. Our dining table is antique furniture so we used a handkerchief for extra protection inside the clamp. However I don’t think this would be a problem on a standard table.”

The stand is particularly useful as an aid for the child to work independently when working online with a tutor and they need to use manipulative resources to demonstrate their thinking. This saves an adult having to stand around and film. It is effectively a second “camera man.” It holds steady and the child can manoeuvre its position easily.

Its secondary use is when work is set by a tutor or a workbook where the child is asked to complete an investigation and present their findings in a video. Both these add another dimension to the child’s learning experience and encourage multi-sensory learning.”
