[EN] Review: HUE Animation workshops drive innovative learning in rural Yorkshire primary school
With the back to school season right around the corner, it is time to start thinking about classroom supplies! HUE products are available on Amazon which provides two great options to get supplies into your classroom: Amazon Wishlists and Donors Choose. Depending on your school you may have limited options for getting supplies in your classroom – so don’t forget we are also available through Adopt a Classroom as well!
Amazon has created a great tool for anyone looking to share a list with friends or family. You can share everything from a list of supplies for an animal shelter, a baby shower or wedding registry, or even a toy drive list. This is a great way for teachers to add school supplies throughout the year to an ongoing list so parents, family, or friends can donate to your classroom as needed. This is great for everything from “Meet the Teacher Night” to holiday gifts to asking for supplies for specific projects throughout the school year.
How to create an Amazon Classroom Wishlist:
Step 1: Go to Amazon.com and sign into your account. Click on “Create a List”.
Step 2: Your new list will be named “New List” so you will need to click on it to change that. It is suggested to name your list with an easy name for parents to find. Try something like “________’s Class”. Next click on “details” to add in your contact information and shipping address.
Step 3: Once you are in “List Settings”, you can add your name, email address, a list description, and shipping information.
Step 4: Now you can add items to your list! Once you find a product you like, click the “Add to List” drop-down menu. Find your Classroom Wishlist name and click!
Step 5: Then you customize the quantity and priority. This lets your donors know how many of an item you want and which items you more than others. To customize, click “Edit comment, quantity and priority”. This allows you to let your donors know that you want more so if you need items for the beginning of the school year make sure to prioritize those. Don’t forget to click “SAVE”.
Step 6: Once you’ve added all the products you want to your wishlist, you’re ready to get the shareable Wishlist link. Go to the top of your list and click “share”.
Step 7: This window will pop up with your custom Wishlist link. This is the link that you will share with your families. Make sure to share it on your social media, via email, and with anyone who is interested. You never know where donations can come from.

Donors Choose is a nonprofit that allows individuals an opportunity to donate directly to public school classroom across the United States. This crowdfunding website allows you the opportunity to not only reach out to the parents and family members in your community but to also reach business that donates to public schools as well.
How it works:
Step 1: Create a project at https://www.donorschoose.org
Step 2: Pick the products you will need to complete this project. For example, if you would like to complete a stop-motion animation project in your classroom, add a HUE Animation Studio or 3! But do not forget all the fun manipulatives. Make sure you add supplies like clay, play-doh, legos, or other supplies your students would need to create amazing stop-motion animation movies in your classroom.
Step 3: Make sure you tell donors why you need these supplies for your classroom. The more donors understand your vision for your classroom, the better chance you have to get funded.
Step 4: Get funded! Share your project with your school, parents and family members. You can even share it on your social media. You never know where the donations could come from. And remember every little bit helps!
Step 5: Once you are funded you receive your supplies and can start the fun! Make sure to take photos and of your project to share with donors. That way you can send a thank you once the project is complete.
